LONG NECK BANJOS
The long neck banjo was invented by Pete Seeger who decided to have his luthier cut the neck of his banjo and insert 3 additional frets into its length. Instead of tuning the newly revised banjo in G, he was able to tune it to an E (Tuned E,B,E,G#,B) allowing him to sing in the lower key.
